Have you ever wondered how a brick is made? At Kharel Itta Udhyog, our brick manufacturing process follows time-tested methods combined with careful quality control at every stage.
Step 1: Clay Selection and Preparation
We source natural clay from carefully selected sites in the Rautahat region. The clay is tested for plasticity, organic content, and mineral composition before use. It is then mixed with water and tempered to the right consistency.
Step 2: Moulding
The prepared clay is pressed into moulds to form uniform brick shapes. Consistent moulding ensures every brick has the same dimensions, which is critical for clean wall construction.
Step 3: Drying
Freshly moulded bricks are air-dried for several days to remove excess moisture before entering the kiln. Proper drying prevents cracking during firing.
Step 4: Kiln Firing
Bricks are stacked and fired in our kiln at high temperatures. The firing process vitrifies the clay particles, giving the brick its characteristic hardness, colour, and durability.
Step 5: Quality Check and Dispatch
After cooling, bricks are inspected for size, colour, strength, and soundness before being dispatched to construction sites across the region.
